- I am a Classical and Jazz pianist and teacher with over thirty years of professional experience in performance of all kinds including: Orchestra, Chamber Music, Solo Piano, Jazz bands, Musical Theater and Shows, Rock and Blues bands. I have taught privately for many years, and at the college level for several years, both Jazz and Classical piano, and courses in Theory, Ensemble, and Music History. SKILLS: Sight reading classical scores and jazz charts; Improvising from lead sheets; leading small jazz ensembles; orchestral playing from scores or lead sheets; teaching piano at all levels and styles, ear training, theory, improvisation; Playing in any commercial situation. EDUCATION: Master of Music, Piano Performance, 1982 University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ. Bachelor of Arts, Music, 1979 Stockton State College, Pomona, NJ. Piano Performance Major, 1969-72 Eastman School of Music, Rochester, NY. Jazz piano private studies. I have appeared on stage with: Frank Gorshin, Red Buttons, Norm Crosby, Gabe Kaplan, Carol Lawrence, Freddie Roman, Andrea Bocelli, Little Anthony & the Imperials, Jay Corre, and Bob Newhart.
